Love this pan!
I needed a new skillet this size, and when I saw this one mentioned in "Cook's Illustrated", I went for it. I'm so glad I did. It has excellent balance and heft, food cooks evenly and it cleans up well. I appreciate the id, as well.
Thanks for the great customer service on the phone as well.

All-Clad 12" skillet
On the recommendation of American's Test Kitchen I purchased this skillet and it is the best skillet I've ever had and I've been a home cook for over 40 years!! It heats evenly, the handle doesn't get hot, the lid fits perfectly and the curved sides makes it easy to flip sautés and transfer the contents.

Gave as gift
I gave the 12" to my sister for Christmas. She has already used it and is very happy with it. She was fed up with all the non-stick pans she's gone through and hopes this one lasts longer!

A Pleasure to Use But is Discoloring
The pan is lovely to work with, cooks very well indeed, good balance and weight. A pleasure. Unfortunately, on my very first use (on Medium heat) it discolored when browning chicken pieces. Now in search of ways to deal with it before using it again. The directions were very clear about using Medium and not High and I followed them.

While it's not so pretty anymore I suspect it will still cook just fine, but will wait to find out till I do some research on ways to fix this.

All-clad is perfect for me.
I have been using this for over a month now. I have other all-clad products but appreciate this one for its lightness. Looks great and cooks great. Very happy and would recommend. I may want to get a smaller size to compliment this one for smaller dishes. But the 12” is a must-have.

Great Frying Pan If,
You are looking for a frying pan that handle most jobs without sticking. A little sticking happens no more how well you prepare the pan.

I needed a new smaller skillet to use with my glass top stove. We previously had gas stoves, and the All Clad skillets we had have residue on the bottom from the gas. I wanted to have a pan with a clean bottom suited to the glass top, and All Clad's quality still appeals to me.

Other than the lid, how is this product different from this product? http://www.surlatable.com/product/PRO-819664/All+Clad+Stainless+Steel+Skillets Seems like the products are the same, (tri-ply, stainless) except the one WITH the lid costs less. What am I missing?
David G on Aug 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is no difference other than the lids. The skillets with lids are only cheaper because they're currently on sale, while the open skillets are not.
Can I use the stainless steel all clad on an induction cooktop?

can you use the stainless steel all clad skillet on an induction cook top?

Seema K on Dec 31, 2015

What is the diameter of the interior cooking surface (the flat part, not including the sides) of the All-Clad 10" stainless steel skillet?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I purchased a 12" All-clad skillet and it measures 12-1/2" across the top, outside to outside. Inside at the bottom it measures 9-1/2". The 10" skillet has the same side slope so I think you could safely assume around 7-1/2" at the bottom of that skillet.

Quality of the skillet I bought is very good.

A shopper on Dec 26, 2015
