Description

Demeyere’s superior technical approach to producing the most advanced clad cookware available has made them a cult favorite with our staff and customers for years. The unmatched quality, sleek design, and highly engineered and tested construction ensure each and every piece of Demeyere cookware is crafted to perform beautifully and last a lifetime.

Our exclusive new Industry5 cookware collection is the culmination of a two-year collaboration between Demeyere and Sur La Table to produce the most innovative clad-metal cookware on the market. Designed to exceed the exacting standards of both professional and home cooks, Industry5 cookware boasts a five-ply 3mm-thick aluminum and aluminum-alloy core for fast and even heat distribution. The interior is nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel for easy cleanup, and the gleaming 18/10 stainless steel exterior is magnetic, which ensures exceptional performance on any heat source—including induction.

Each pan also features a pouring rim to prevent spills. The superior base stability of Industry5 cookware guarantees the bottom of the pan remains almost perfectly flat when heated, even to higher temperatures. Oils and other liquids will evenly coat the bottom of the pan and never pool on the sides for even cooking results time after time.

Each piece of cookware features Demeyere’s proprietary Silvinox finish—a unique system of electrochemical surface treatments that removes iron and impurities from the surface, the main causes of discoloration over time. The stainless steel exterior remains silvery white, even after many years of use. It also resists discoloration from fingerprints and heat, even when subjected to temperatures over 500°F.

The oversized stay-cool cast stainless steel handles are shot-blasted to ensure a secure grip, and make transporting a hot pan to and from the oven or stovetop easy even while wearing oven mitts. Each handle is welded directly to the pan, making it significantly more durable and hygienic than a traditional riveted handle. Food, grease and dirt will never accumulate inside the pan, so cleanup is a breeze.

Suitable for use on all cooktops, in the oven up to 600°F, and under the broiler. Dishwasher safe (hand wash recommended). Made in Belgium.

Features Hide

DURABLE CLAD-METAL CONSTRUCTION
All Industry5 cookware features a 5-ply, 3mm-thick aluminum and aluminum alloy core for fast and even heat distribution, a nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel interior for easy cleanup, and a gleaming 18/10 stainless steel exterior with magnetic properties for exceptional performance on any heat source, including induction.

SUPERIOR BASE STABILITY
Each piece of Industry5 cookware has a perfectly flat base that stays perfectly flat when heated, even under high temperatures. This is a marked advantage over other cookware that tends to have a more pronounced base expansion as it heats, which causes liquids to pool around the edge. In our Industry5 pan, oil evenly coats the entire surface for great results time after time.

SILVINOX FINISH
Demeyere’s proprietary Silvinox finish is a unique system of electrochemical surface treatments that removes iron and impurities, the main causes of discoloration over time, from the pan surfaces. Thanks to the innovative Silvinox treatment, the stainless steel exterior remains silvery white even after many years of use. It also resists discoloration, even under temperatures over 500°F, and is more resistant to fingerprints.

WELDED STAY-COOL HANDLES
Large, shot-blasted 18/10 stainless steel handles are welded directly to each pan, not attached with screws or rivets. Industry5’s stay-cool, welded handles are more durable and more hygienic, preventing food and grease from accumulating. The shot-blasted stainless steel construction provides a firm, comfortable grip even while wearing oven mitts. The Silvinox finish also provides superior scratch-resistance over time.

MADE IN BELGIUM SINCE 1908
For over 100 years, family-owned Demeyere has made cookware that is highly engineered, technically innovative and beautifully designed.

Demeyere skillet review
The manager of the Southpark, Charlotte store helped me in selecting this skillet. I am so pleased. Great for sautéing and frying. Skillet is well made and sits flat on my glass cooktop.

Fantastic!
Great skillet! Handle stayed cool the entire time and the way it conducts heat all the way up the sides is amazing! I was making fideos and had to toast my pasta. Pasta along fees roasted just as well as pasta on the bottom. Well constructed skillet, love it!

Super duper!
This is my third skillet and I still don't seem to have enough. I love these pans. They are heavy and very easy to take care of. If something gets where it seems that it will not come clean, just soak in dawn and warm water for a time and you will be surprised. I think they are beautiful and view them like my kitchenAid - something to pass on to my kids.

A great all purpose pan
This pan is so much better than my Le Creuset non-stick. It is very lightweight for its size and I love that it does not have any welding/fasteners on the inside of the pan, so it is easy to clean up. I find that things don't stick as much as with non-stick pans! I look forward to using this for many years to come.

I already have the 12" all-clad fry pan, but I'm looking for something a little larger and without the rivets. (I have a hard time cleaning around the rivets.) I've read good reviews about the Demeyere and am looking forward to trying it. But I do wish it had a lid because sometimes it is useful to have one.

The Atlantis skillet is a 7 layer with copper/aluminum with just 2 sizes. Does that go up the sides or is this just on the bottom? The proline is 7 layers but it only has aluminum but it states it goes up the sides. And the Industry5 has only 5 layers. Is there a significant performance difference between the 3? Also, Williams-Sonoma has a Demeyere plus so is that the same as Industry5?

Demeyere Industry5 Skillet
Demeyere® Atlantis Skillets
Demeyere® Atlantis Skillets
Demeyere Proline Skillet
Demeyere Proline Skillet
BEST ANSWER: Unlike any other Demeyere line, the composition of Atlantis cookware varies by vessel. Straight sided pieces--like sauce pans & sauté pans--have an 18/10 stainless steel cooking surface, but that is the only layer that goes up the sides. The cooking surface has the same 18/10 stainless steel surface, but it also has two layers of silver with a layer of copper sandwiched between & three proprietary layers called "TriplInduc", which make it induction compatible. Conical shaped pieces--like sauciers--have seven layers that go all the way up the sides. The top layer is 18/10 stainless steel, followed by three layers of aluminum & three layers of TriplInduc. Because frying pans need to have optimal heat retention, they have the same seven layers as conical pans, reaching all the way up the sides, but the they have more aluminum in them.
Proline & Atlantis skillets are actually one in the same, so the product description on the Atlantis page will be changed, while the Proline description is correct.
Industry5 has an 18/10 stainless steel cooking surface, three layers of aluminum & an 18/0 bottom layer, but no TriplInduc. Therefore, Atlantis/Proline will heat up a little faster & retain heat a little longer than Industry5, but you wouldn't notice a major performance difference in the two unless you have an induction cooktop, as Atlantis/Proline is up to 40% more induction compatible.
Industry5 does seem very similar to the Demeyere 5-Plus that Williams Sonoma carries, but since I called Williams Sonoma & was told "any information that isn't already on the website is confidential & kept by the corporate office," I'm afraid I can't give a comprehensive comparison on the two.
Does the nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel interior surface provide any inherent non stick properties?

I have been using non stick skillets for so long, I am somewhat reluctant to invest the money if my food is going to stick to the pan
A shopper on Apr 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No, this pan does not offer any non stick properties
What is the overall height (base to rim) ofthe Demeyere 9.5-inch and 11-inch skillets?
A shopper on Apr 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 9 1/2 inch Demeyere Industry 5 Skillet is 2 1/4 inches tall. The 11 inch skillet is 2 3/8 inches tall.
What is the weight of the Demeyre 11"" skillet
A shopper on Feb 18, 2012
BEST ANSWER: 3.2 pounds (I used a kitchen scale to weigh my skillet)
Does the 12"" skillet come with a lid, and if not is there one available for purchase
A shopper on Feb 23, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Demeyere’s superior technical approach to producing the most advanced clad cookware available has made them a cult favorite with our staff and customers for years.

The design of a skillet is such that it is supposed to encourage evaporation, a lid counter-acts that function so most skillets will not come with lids. There are not currently any lids offered in the Demeyere Industry 5 line that are made for the skillets, however the 3 qrt. Saute Pan does come with a lid that will fit the 11" skillet but will be too small for the 12.5"
What is the capacity of the 12.5" skillet? How tall are the sides?
Jennifer D on Feb 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Holds about 7 cups of liquid to the rim. Sides are 2 inches tall.
Can you tell me the floor measurements for the 9.5" pan?
Duffy H on Sep 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The floor measurement is 8".
What’s the depth/height (bottom to rim) of the 12 inch skillet? Thanks.
A shopper on Jan 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I measured mine and it is 2 inches. I love this skillet. I can fry 6 thin sliced cutlets at the same time. If anything sticks or burns I soak it while we are eating and everything comes off easily with hand washing. I don't put it in the dishwasher. Great purchase!
Are these skillets fully clad?

Does the 5-ply layering continue up the sidewalls of skillets, or is it only on the bottom
A shopper on Oct 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The 5-ply continues up the side as the Industry 5 skillets and pans are stamped and molded from one solid piece of the 5-ply material.
What is the cooking surface dimensions for all sizes of these skillets?
A shopper on Mar 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The 8" has a 6" cooking surface.
The 9.5" has a 7.5".
The 11" has a 9".
The 12.5" has a 10.5".
Are there covers available for the 8" & 9.5" Industry 5 and Proline?
A shopper on May 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, we do not carry lids separately for these lines.
Will these pans work with induction cooktops?
Debbie R on Jan 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these are induction compatible.
How does this skillet differ from the Demeyere Proline?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The proline is 7 ply, the Industry 5 is 5 ply. More layers (up to a certain point) means better, more even heat. The proline will blow you away with its performance, it's like nothing I've ever used before. I would say it's my third choice in skillets. First proline, second AC copper core, then very close behind is the industry 5.
How does the SLT Tri-ply compare to Demeyere?
A shopper on Jan 14, 2016
Demeyere Industry5 Skillet
Demeyere Industry5 Skillet
Sur La Table® Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 9-Piece Set
Sur La Table® Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 9-Piece Set
BEST ANSWER: Demeyere cookware is made of 5 layers of metal while the SLT line is only made of 3. Demeyere is going to have better heat retention & conductivity. Demeyere pieces also have welded handles rather than riveted.
