Not a quality product
The spring that keeps the gadget in place stopped working during the first use. It gouged the apple and I had to hold the device in place the entire time. Will be returning this.

Fun toy
A fun product, easy to use, well constructed. My only problem is the size limitations, the veggies and fruit must be only so large or it doesn't work so well. I would definitely recommend this tool

Slips and cores
I haven't figured out why my spiralizer cores out the middle of veggies making them unable to spiralize. I've tried it on slow, medium and fast speed. I also get a lot of little pieces, no long curly veggie noodles. Cleaning is fairly simple, I don't put in dishwasher. I've had this attachment for a few years, but only used it a few times due to coring issue, so I know it's not caused by dull blades. Will probably sell at a yardsale, along with second set that was made to produce angel hair.

I would like to use my Mixer more as it takes up a good amount of counter space and everyday cooking accessories will make me not want to just pack it away. Also, I like the fresh idea of making veges and fruits that are fun to prepare and eat.

I use this frequently to make fresh zucchini noodles. And to peel apples if I am making something that requires a large portion. It works great, is easy to rinse clean and is so much faster (and less effort on my aging wrists) than by hand.

Are all the different attachments interchangeable on all KitchenAid stands or do you have to identify which ones work on the different models? Not the bowls as I see they say 3qt 5qt 6qt. Thank you.
A shopper on Jul 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Attachments that attach to the front of the machine can be used on any mixer, the ones that attach to the bottom are specific to certain mixers.
I already have the spiralizer. Will the extra attachments that come with the spiralizer plus be sold separately so we can use it without spending the money to get another one? I, for one, can't afford that!! Thank you, Vivian Kramer
A shopper on Jul 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Vivian, the product I've linked below are the extra blades the Plus version comes with. Happy Zoodling! (sp?)
KitchenAid® Spiralizer Thin Blade Set
KitchenAid® Spiralizer Thin Blade Set
How is the clean up using these spiralizers?
Joanie R on Aug 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi. The blades are top rack dishwasher safe but the body cannot be submerged so it's recommended to use a wet soft cloth to clean with. I'm a klutz and if I put the blades in the dishwasher it's a matter of time before I slice myself so I wash all the parts with soap and a soft bristled brush. The blades and spear I run completely under water but the main body , which doesn't contact food much I lightly wash then quickly rinse just the end where the blade and food was the dry it. If the end that connects to the mixer needs cleaning you can do the same with that. Honestly it probably takes more time decide what blade I want and to take it in and out of the box than it does to clean :-)
I would like to know what the differences are between this model and the regular model—I know there are 6 blades rather than 3, but what sizes are those additional blades? And does this model come with a storage box, as does the regular model? This info should be listed in the "What's in the Box" but it's isn't.

BEST ANSWER: Ex fine, fine, med- spiralizer; Thin slice small core, slice small core, slice large core and peel. Comes in a nice organized Cardboard box w/ Styrofoam insert. Almost a case, but I noted a small dent and a small tear in the beautiful box. I will definitely keep mine in the box. I am outfitting a Kitchen and have not used it yet ( or my new commercial range), so I have nothing to offer there; Looks like a nice piece of equipment. Price shown today is much lower than I paid on sale- get it now, as KitchenAid is not always on sale! I have a photo, but can't figure out how to post it. Ask them to contact me if you would like it.
Does the Spiralizer Plus kit have a better peeler?
Lindy Y on Nov 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure what you mean by "better peeler' . . .( than the original kitchenaid spiralizer?) My only experience is with the kitchenaid Spiralizer Plus. Peeling apples and potatoes was quick and easy -- no problems.
Does the Spiralizer Plus have the extra fine spiralizer that makes angel hair size?
A shopper on Aug 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It includes the medium, fine and extra-fine blades. Just be sure to check the contents when your kit arrives - the first one we got had 2 fine and no extra-fine. Sur la Table were super-quick to deal with the issue and get a correct kit out to us - kudos to them for the great service.
Is there an attacment that peels and cores only? I do not need spiralizer, just peel and core.
Margaret H on Nov 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is an attachment that peels and cores. The kit that is sold by Sur la Table includes this attachment along with other attachments that include spiralizer attachments.
Will this core peel and slice apples?
A shopper on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will core, peel, and slice apples. My spouse cans applesause every year, plus he cores/peels & slices enough apples for freezing to make 10 apple pies during the year.
Can this be used on the Artisan?
Anne G on Feb 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can use any of the kitchenaid attachments on any of the different model mixers, with the exception of the attachments that go into the bowl part of the mixer.
How wide are the slicing blades? They look much narrower that the blades on the vegetable sheet cutter. I'd like to avoid buying 2 attachments if they will cut as wide a vegetable as the "sheet cutter."
A shopper on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The two attachments are quite different. (I have both)It is not a matter of the width f the vegetable but the way it cuts them. The vegetable sheet cutter as you know cuts the length of vegetable in one large sheet. The spiralizer cuts in a corkscrew style around and down the vegetable. There are different blades for different sized (width) spirals.I have never tried the peeler( it may be more similar to the sheet cutter) I use BOTH the spiralizer and sheet cutter frequently.
