Twist your way to gourmet hot dogs.

Description

NEW Grilled hot dogs just got even tastier. The Dizzy Dog Hot Dog Spiral Cutter transforms hot dogs into spirals that cook faster and more evenly—with deliciously caramelized edges. The unique shape also allows you to fit more condiments and toppings into each bite! Simply place your uncooked dog into the cutter, twist the cutting ring and slide out a perfectly spiralized hot dog.

For best results, use standard- or classic-sized hot dogs. Not recommended for use with stuffed, bun-length or jumbo-sized hot dogs. Thoroughly wash and dry Dizzy Dog before first use (dishwasher safe).

Dizzy Dog Instructions
1. Remove the finger guard and position cutting ring at one end of the Dizzy Dog.
2. Insert uncooked hot dog in the opening opposite the cutting ring and cap with the finger guard.
3. Grip both ends of the Dizzy Dog and roll cutting ring on a hard, flat surface toward the finger guard.
4. Remove the spiral-cut hot dog by uncapping the finger guard and tilting the Dizzy Dog downward to the open end of the Dizzy Dog.
5. Grill. Customize with toppings. Enjoy.

Great Gadget
I don't understand the complaints in the reviews - sounds like some people are shoving oversized dogs in this contraption or upset they can't shove oversize dogs in there ... it is what it is, a spiral cutter for standard dogs - and it works GREAT. Also, as with anything in life, if you try to force it, something will break (in this case, most likely your dog) ... it's not a sensitive piece of equipment, it's pretty simple, but it requires a gentle-medium touch. I had not one tear or crumble on 2 packs of gourmet, standard size dogs over Memorial Day ... spiraled every one of them without a hitch. LOVE this thing; it's really cool and does exactly what it's supposed to do!!!

Unimpressed So Far
On the first try, it mangled the dog while trying to remove it. It looked much like the photo that someone else posted.
I’ll try it again with a much skinnier dog. I really want this to work.

It's a big hit with my 10 g-kids
They believe I can do magic with my new dizzy dog maker as they call it. Just another way to include and make my g-kids laugh. Wish I had it years ago. I used to do it by hand. Thank you. R.

Fun and tasty!
Not sure how some other reviewers had problems with this device. It does exactly what it says it does, easy and intuitive. I used it with 2 different kinds of hot dogs and it worked fine. I also used it on some veggie dogs with great results. My kids loved it and I think it did add some extra flavor too. Instructions right on the box.

Not For Thicker Hot Dogs
It worked for the first hot dogs I bought, then none of the others fit. It made quite a mess.

Previously, I cut spirals on my hot dogs using the bamboo skewer method. It can be hard to get the skewer centered, but it works for any size dog as you can slice around the skewer as you rotate the hot dog.

This gadget is okay for standard, thin, usually lower quality hot dogs. Other hot dogs either will not fit the spiral tube, or get stuck and probably fall apart during a forced removal.

This gadget should have had a different design to accommodate the hot dogs sold, not just one sized dog.

RIP OFF
Didn't work on any hot dogs we tried. We just opened the box and had to go to a video to find out there was a finger guard. Too late to get our money back :(

I thought the tool looked fun and pretty easy to use based on reviews. I actually slice my dogs by hand, and figured for the price, what did I have to lose. I also think this is a great tool to use for prepping dogs for the grill that way everyone gets the same opportunity to top their dog with as many condiments as their hearts desire!
Oyinlola A. on Nov 8, 2018
I thought it was a neat idea.
Laronda B on Sep 11, 2018
easier than using a knife to slice the hot dog. Great for adding cheese.

Can one use larger sized hot dogs, like the big beef size, or is the device only for the regular small sized dog?
A shopper on Apr 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This spiral cutter works for regular sized hot dogs only.
What about kosher hot dogs, does it work on them?
A shopper on May 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't think it matters if it is kosher or not it's all about the width of the hotdog. We had organic hotdogs and they were bigger than an average hotdog and they got caught.
