If I still had the packaging I would return this product, a huge disappointment. The top pops open the minute we start the microwave and popcorn shoots all over our oven. One is worse than the other so maybe it is a quality issue but even when one occasionally works the popcorn comes out with an odd texture.

Love these little popcorn makers. They are perfect for making just one serving of popcorn. We purchased for Christmas season and have used them several times .

bummer
I was disappointed as I was very excited to buy these single-serve popcorn makers. I thought it would be ideal for me and my family. However, only one of the two actually worked. The flaps on the second one don't close all the way, making it impossible to use. I guess I have one but had hoped both would work so I could keep one at work and one at home.

Great Microwave popcorn
This device pops almost every kernel. If you load it up then eventually the flaps will open and a few kernals will escape, not a problem if your microwave is clean. Tastes good and it is low cal since no oil.

just what I wanted!
Was tired of wasting popcorn done in quantity. This single serve cup is the perfect solution. Have not had any trouble keeping it closed, as some have related - just make sure one edge is under the other up in a corner. Hope this helps all who have had that problem. Is a good purchases; glad I got it.

Great Once I Figured Out The ‘Trick’
First couple times I used it it popped all over the microwave. Decided to give it one more try before tossing it. It worked!! Instead of just folding down the flaps, I tucked in opposite sides (like closing a cardboard box). Worked like a charm!

Does not work as described
Love the concept, however, when the kernels start to pop, the fold over flaps pop open and the kernels fly around the microwave. Only few of the kernels actually popped. Very disappointed.

nice alternative to prepackaged popcorn
It makes just the right amount for one person. It does take a while to figure out how long it takes before it burns, I used the recommended time with my microwave and it was much too long. 2 minutes did the trick. Some of the popcorn does fly out during the popping so you have to also experiment with how much to put in. When I read about how toxic the additives are for the prepackaged stuff, this is a good quick alternative. The silicone cups are also easy to clean.

Just don't
Don't waste your money - the flaps don't stay closed and once one lifts it blasts the popcorn that does pop all over the microwave along with plenty of unpopped kernels. Tried multiple times with the same result.

Brilliant!
I received these yesterday and popped corn last night. They work exactly as described! The corn pops much faster than in my larger microwave popper. I did have to hold the flaps down for a minute or so to get them to stay closed, but they arrived nested, with the flaps open. I will follow another reviewer’s suggestion and store them with the flaps closed. The popped popcorn was very crispy and fully “bloomed”, a much nicer result than a hot air popper!

how much popcorn does this single serve make?? one cup, two cups??
A shopper on Aug 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use 2 tablespoons of kernels to get about 2-3 cups of popped (pretty much the maximum for the container. Store the popcorn maker with the lid in the closed position - otherwise it tends to open too soon.
Does it work if you want to cook your popcorn with butter?
A shopper on Dec 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I tried it with a little oil and found that it kind of burned. The milk solids in butter would burn faster so I just pop it dry and add melted butter on top afterwards.
