Chitarra Pasta Maker
I love this thing. It works great and looks amazing. One thing I recommend, don't loosen the tension too much when not using it or the strings will pop out of the slots that hold them in place. It works best when the strings are tight, so be sure to turn the screws and tighten the tension when ready to make pasta.

Homemade pasta is a joy and easier to do than people think. I purchased SLT's Eppicotispai Chitarra and it cut my prep time almost in half. You can make tons of spaghetti or linguine. I really recommend this.

Eppicotispai Chitarra Pasta Maker
Very nice product. Works and looks great. I did have to play around with a few of the stainless steel wires that kept jumping out of their slots, and one that was too loose, but over all it is a great addition to my pasta making love affair. A very pleasant surprise was that it came with a beautiful little maple rolling pin. No where in the description did they mention it was included. Great surprise. Happy Customer

Pleasantly surprised
Not sure why there were no reviews here when other websites had great ones for this same product, I decided to give it a try. I took a chance that since this one is made in Italy, it had to be the real deal if not better than the American made one. I also ordered a dowel rolling pin to use with it. It arrived in the mail today and much to my surprise it also had a perfectly sized rolling pin in the box with it! Sure would have been nice if the item description displayed that information, but I'm not complaining as I'll find a use for my dowel one. The strings do come a bit loose as that is the proper storage method to lengthen the life of the chitarra, or so I've read. It only takes a few seconds to tighten them when putting into operation. I have read reviews on other versions how the wood is rough and causes splinters. I have none of those issues with mine. It seems to be well constructed and with proper use and care it should last for quite a while. Now I just need to make some pasta dough and see how well it works.

Does this roll out the dough, or just cut it

Would I have to roll the dough out before using this? I'm assuming I would, but just thought I'd ask a silly question
unsmartgenius on Jul 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the dough must be rolled first
does anyone have a good recipe for the dough? Maybe even a Utube showing the steps on how to make the dough and then how to use this Chitarra Pasta Maker?
Thank you!
